Man shot in Marquette Park

A man was shot early Saturday in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 1:35 a.m., the man, 35, was standing outside in the 7200 block of South Artesian when two males began arguing nearby and one of the males fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the ankle but was not the intended target of the shooting, police said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
