Stevenson, like every other opponent to face Libertyville’s football team this fall, didn’t have much success slowing down the Riley Lees Express.

In the first half alone, Libertyville’s quarterback rushed for 4 touchdowns and 257 yards to lead the visiting Wildcats in a 35-7 victory over Stevenson in North Suburban Lake play on Friday night in Lincolnshire.

Libertyville’s victory snaps a six-game losing streak to the rival Patriots and keeps the Wildcats unbeaten this fall.

“This is a team that’s on our list,” Lees said. “It feels great to finally beat these guys. We wanted to come out and make a statement, set the tone early, and we did.”
