A man was critically wounded in a Marquette Park neighborhood shooting early Saturday on the Southwest Side.

About 1:40 a.m., the 26-year-old was walking in the 7200 block of South Western when someone fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the knee and abdomen and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
