Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch leaves Bears game

SEATTLE — The Bears dodged “Beast Mode” for the first 12 minutes of Sunday’s game. And then, again, for the entire second half.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was ruled out for the second half with a hamstring strain. He finished with five carries for 14 yards and one catch for nine.

Lynch did not start; instead, third-stringer Thomas Rawls took the field with the first team. Lynch was not seen in uniform at kickoff the Bears’ game at CenturyLink Field, and ran onto the sideline in full uniform during the Bears’ second offensive possession. He took the field with the Seahawks to start their third offensive drive.

Lynch was declared active 90 minutes before the game. He had struggled with a calf injury throughout the week, and did not practice Friday.

Former Bills running back Fred Jackson figures to share time with Rawls in his place.
