Man shot in West Elsdon

A man was shot early Monday in the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side.About midnight, the 23-year-old was standing outside in the 4000 block of West 55th Street when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the right thigh, according to Chicago Police.He walked into Rush University Medical Center and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. His condition was stabilized.
