A 13-year old was hit by gunfire and two other boys were hurt by shattered glass in a Morgan Park neighborhood shooting early Sunday on the Far South Side.

About 2:35 a.m., the three teenagers were inside a home in the 11300 block of South Throop when they heard a loud noise outside, according to Chicago Police.

They went to a window to see what was happening and bullets shot through the glass, police said.

It was unclear if they were struck by bullets, but as of Sunday morning detectives said the 13-year-old had fragments in his arm and was considered a gunshot victim, police said.

The other boys, ages 15 and 16, were hit by debris and taken to hospitals with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, police said.
