Lake County sheriff’s police are searching for a person of interest in connection with a homicide near north suburban Grayslake Tuesday morning.

Leo Amin, 30, is described as a 5-foot-11, 200-pound bald man with brown eyes, last seen driving a silver or gold 2005 Nissan Altima with an Illinois license plate number of E357840, according to Lake County sheriff’s office spokesman Det. Chris Covelli.

Police launched a homicide investigation after a 46-year-old woman was found dead at a home about 8:15 a.m. in the 31200 block of North Alleghany Road in unincorporated Avon Township, authorities said.

No other details were released about the death.

Amin should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. He also goes by the name David Amin and may be carrying identification that indicates his birthday is May 1, 1974.

Anyone who sees him should call 911.
