Chicago musician Katie Day performed her Cubs-inspired song, “By the Lakeside” live on WGN this morning.

The song, which dreams of a Cubs World Series, includes the lyrics, “Cause when the gods decide

it’s about damn time, we’re gonna pop champagne by the lakeside.”

The song was made available on iTunes earlier this month, and can apparently be heard on local radio, as well:

My dad is driving me to my performance at WGN this morning and we just heard By the Lakeside on the radio. What is my life right now? Tune in to WGN tv at 9:50 to hear it live. #AHHHHHH #letsgo #cubs #wearegood A video posted by Katie Day
