Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries over the past month in the Chinatown neighborhood on the South Side.

Burglaries occurred at 9:45 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 200 block of West 24th Place; and at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 200 block of West 23rd Street.

In both incidents, a male subject approached a person and robbed them, according to a police community alert.

One of the suspects is described as a black man 19-25, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-9, and 120-170 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
