SHARE Police: Garage burglaries reported in West Lawn, Clearing

Four garage burglaries have been reported in the West Lawn and Clearing neighborhoods on the Southwest Side in the last two weeks, prompting police to issue a community alert.

According to police, the burglaries occurred: About 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 4500 block of West 66th Place; about 7 a.m. on Sept. 20 in the 6400 block of South Tripp; about 1 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 6200 block of South Kildare; and about 7 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the 6600 block of South Knox.

In each case, a suspect or suspects got into the garage through a window or door and took property, police said.
