The Michael A. Bilandic Building, located at 160 North LaSalle, will be closed Friday because to flooding, officials said.

According to a statement from Central Management Services Director Tom Tyrrell, water infiltration caused by construction work on Randolph Street ruptured a water main, causing flooding to occur in the ComEd electrical vault.

Damages are currently prohibiting elevator operations and HVAC systems from working properly. ComEd sent a crew to address the flooding, the statement said.

The James R. Thompson Center, located across the street, was not affected by flooding.
