SHARE Missing West Lawn woman returns home

An elderly woman reported missing from the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side has been found.

Maria Nieves, 79, had last been seen Thursday in the area of 69th and Hamlin, according to a missing person alert from Area Central detectives.

Nieves has since returned home, police announced Friday evening. No other details were released.
