A man was critically wounded and a teenage boy was injured in a shooting Friday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were outside in the 2800 block of West Fillmore about 11 a.m. when someone fired shots at them, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.

The man was shot in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Lemmon said. The boy was shot in the arm and transported himself to Mount Sinai, where he was listed in good condition.
