2 shot in Humboldt Park

Two men were shot Saturday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

They were standing on a sidewalk about 9 p.m. in the 2500 block of West Potomac when they heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

One man, 27, was shot in the left leg and taken to Stroger Hospital. The other man, whose age wasn’t available, suffered the same wound and was taken to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center. Their conditions stabilized, police said.

Both men are self-admitted gang members, police said.
