Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a young female jogger Sunday morning near southwest suburban Joliet.

The assault happened about 10:30 a.m. along the Illinois & Michigan Canal Bike Path, south of I-80 near Larkin Avenue, according to Illinois State Police.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with black hair and a heavy accent, police said. He was wearing dark sweatpants, white t-shirt and long-sleeved orange shirt.
