A 31-year-old man was shot in the leg Monday night in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

About 10:30 p.m., he was walking on a sidewalk in the 2200 block of South Spaulding when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the lower right leg and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Investigators think the shooting was gang-related.
