A 19-year-old man was critically injured in an Austin neighborhood drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon on the West Side.

The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of West Erie at 6:35 p.m. when a brown car drove by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the abdomen, right shoulder and right forearm and showed up at Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
