Lyric Opera of Chicagotoday announced that Tony Award-nominated Kate Baldwin and Broadway actor Paolo Montalban will star as Anna and the King of Siam in Lyric Opera of Chicago’s upcoming production of the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway musical “The King and I.”

The production will run April 29-May 22, at the Civic Opera House, 20 N. Wacker. Tickets are available at lyricopera.org/king or by phone at (312) 827-5600.

Baldwin is a graduate of Northwestern University. Her most recent stage credits include “Big Fish” (both in Chicago and on Broadway). Montalban has starred on Broadway in “The King and I” and “Pacific Overtures.” Television fans may remember him for his role as the Prinec in the ABC telefilm “Cinderella,” which co-starred Brandy and the late Whitney Houston.
