Police are warning residents after a pair of armed robberies in the last two weeks in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The robberies occurred:

  • At 5:50 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 5500 block of South Sawyer Avenue; and
  • At 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 5500 block of South Christiana Avenue.

The suspects approached the victim, pulled out a gun and demanded cellphones and money, police said.

The suspects are described as two black men between 17 t0 25 years old, standing 5-foot-7 and 6-foot and weighing 160-to-200 pounds, police said.
