Man shot in Brighton Park

A 20-year-old man was shot twice in the Brighton Park neighborhood Friday afternoon on the Southwest Side.

About 4 p.m., the victim was sitting in a vehicle parked in the 4000 block of South Rockwell when someone shot him in the chest and leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The man has documented gang ties, a police source said.
