Naperville police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed two convenience stores in the western suburb early Monday.

About 3:55 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at a store in the 300 block of East Bailey Road, according to a statement from Naperville police. The suspect showed a dark weapon, stole an undisclosed amount of cash, and then left the scene.

Twenty minutes later, officers responded to another burglary at a convenience store in the 1400 block of East Chicago Road, police said. The suspect again pulled out a black handgun and stole cash.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-30s about 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing a dark coat, pants and hat and also partially covered his face.
