Pau Gasol may be getting up there in age, but he can still take over a game. Monday afternoon it was Gasol’s game from the start against the Pistons, a team he seems to enjoy playing.
Gasol had a game-high 31 points to help the Bulls beat the Pistons 111-101 on the road for the rare weekday matinee. In addition to his 31-points, Gasol pulled down ten rebounds. It was his 22nd double-double of the season.

To get over the 30-point hump, Gasol needed a few impressive plays. He was helped out with a fourth quarter shooting foul well out of the normal shooting range.
In the final minutes of the game, Gasol put the exclamation point not only on the win, but on his performance. Gasol used a crossover that most point guards would be jealous of and threw down a monstrous dunk.
Although, Jimmy Butler gets style points for his “box out.”
Gasol’s performance helped the Bulls to a much needed victory as they continue to fight through injuries. It was the Bulls first win over the Pistons this season.
