A man was injured in an East Garfield Park neighborhood drive-by shooting Tuesday night on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was walking in the 2800 block of West Jackson about 9:15 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left side of his body and took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
