SHARE Waukegan police seek two armed robbers

Police are searching for two males who robbed a Mobil Gas Station at gunpoint Monday in north suburban Waukegan.

At 5:30 p.m., the two males – whose ages were unknown – entered the gas station at 1100 Belvidere Road, pulled out a gun and stole cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money, according to a statement from police. They also stole an undisclosed amount of money from a customer in the store.

The first robber is described as a black male, standing 5-foot-10 with a thin build, wearing a black jacket with red sleeves, jeans and a black mask concealing his face, police said. The second robber is described as a black male, standing 5-foot-8 with a medium build, wearing a gray sweatshirt with “ECKO” in white letters on it, jeans and a white mask concealing his face.

They were last seen fleeing on foot, police said.
