Police are warning residents about a series of home burglaries reported last month in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Over a five-day period, someone entered several homes in the neighborhood and stole property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The break-ins occurred:

  • In the 6100 block of South Indiana about 8:15 p.m. Dec. 23;
  • In the 6000 block of South Indiana about midnight Dec. 24;
  • In the 100 block of East 60th Street about 7 a.m. Dec. 25;
  • In the 6100 block of South Wabash about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 26;
  • In the 6000 block of South Michigan about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 27.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
