Two food delivery drivers were robbed this week while making deliveries just a block apart in the South Side South Chicago neighborhood.
Chicago Police issued an alert to businesses in the area after a driver was robbed on Monday in the 8400 block of South Kingston Avenue; and a second driver was robbed two nights later in the 8300 block of South Kingston.
In both instances, the offenders placed a phony food order, and when the driver arrived, he was robbed at gunpoint, police said. The first crime took place about 8:40 p.m., the second about 9:40 p.m.
The offenders are described only as two to three male black teens about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 and 130-160 pounds; and a black teenage girl 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-6, and 130-160 pounds.
Anyone with information should call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8273.
