A man was shot and seriously wounded Friday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 18-year-old was outside in the 200 block of North Homan at 10:45 a.m. when a gray vehicle pulled up alongside him and someone inside opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.

The man was shot in the right shoulder and right leg, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Estrada said.
