A man was shot in the abdomen early Saturday while riding in a car on Interstate 57 near 111th Street.

It happened around 3 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired six shots, according to Illinois State Police.

The driver took him to St. Bernard Hospital, according to the state police, which said the injuries weren’t life-threatening.
