A 21-year-old man was shot on the front porch of a Hegewisch neighborhood home early Saturday on the Far South Side.

He was on the porch in the 13200 block of South Commercial shortly after midnight when a gunman walked up and shot him in the buttocks before taking off in a black SUV, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
