A man was shot Monday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

At 3:23 p.m., the 26-year-old man and two other people were in a vehicle in the 9500 block of South LaSalle Street when someone walked up to the group and fired shots, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the head and the people in the vehicle took him to St. Bernard Hospital. He was then transferred to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
