Police are warning residents of a recent string of burglaries at businesses in the North Side Old Town and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

In four incidents, the burglars broke into businesses, usually through a broken window, during the early morning hours and stole money from the registers, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened:

  • Jan. 16 in the 2000 block of North Clybourn;
  • Jan. 17 in the 1400 block of North Kingsbury;
  • Jan. 22 in the 1400 block of North Dayton; and
  • Jan. 23 in the 200 block of West North.
