Curie head coach Mike Oliver has been suspended for two games by the Illinois High School Association.

Oliver has already started serving the suspension, he sat out the Condors’ win over St. Ignatius on Sunday. It’s expected he will sit out Tuesday’s game at Kenwood as well.

According to IHSA spokesperson Matt Troha, Oliver has also been put on one year probation and will be required to complete the National Federation of Highs Schools’ Sportsmanship course online before being allowed to return to coach.

The penalties are the result of Curie leaving the court in a game against Michigan City High School in Michigan City, Ind. on January 16.

Oliver claims he pulled his team due to security concerns.
