Man shot in Humboldt Park

A man was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side Wednesday night.

The 38-year-old man was shot in the left hand in the 1600 block of North Albany about 9:05 p.m., police said. The man noticed a car following him in traffic and when it came to a stop at the mouth of an alley, someone inside fired shots.

He took himself to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, according to police.
