A man was shot late Wednesday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 22-year-old man was leaving his home in the 3000 block of West Madison Street at 11:05 p.m. when someone in an alley fired shots, hitting him in the right shoulder, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, according to police.
