SHARE Police: Four armed robberies in just two hours on NW Side

Police are warning residents of a group of armed robbers who struck four times in two hours early Friday in the Portage Park, Jefferson Park and Ravenswood neighborhoods.

In the Friday morning incidents, one to three suspects approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies happened at:

  • 4 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Roscoe;
  • 4:36 a.m. in the 5000 block of North Milwaukee;
  • 5:18 a.m. in the 2500 block of West Carmen; and
  • 5:55 a.m. in the 5200 block of North Moody.

The suspects are described as black men between 18 and 25, standing between 5-foot-7 and 6-feet, weighing 150-180 pounds, police said. They were wearing gray or dark-colored sweatshirts.

The third suspect was described as a 170-pound Hispanic woman 20-25, wearing a dark-colored puffy jacket.
