A man was killed after jumping in front of a CTA Red Line train Friday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
The 38-year-old jumped in front of the train at 12:25 p.m. at the 63rd Street station at 220 W. 63rd, according to Chicago Police.
He was identified as James Lowell of the 9100 block of South Perry, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1 p.m., and his death was ruled a suicide.
