A 26-year-old man was hurt in a North Lawndale neighborhood shooting early Sunday on the Southwest Side.

He was walking outside about 3:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of South Christiana when he heard shots and realized a bullet had grazed the top of his head, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Stroger Hospital and was expected to be released Sunday morning, police said.

A police source said the man has documented gang ties.
