A man was shot and critically wounded in the East Garfield Park neighborhood early Sunday on the West Side.
The 21-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 3500 block of West Huron at 4:48 a.m. when two males walked up and both fired shots in his direction before running away, according to Chicago Police.
He was shot in the shoulder and face and was taken by friends to Norwegian American Hospital, police said. He was later transferred in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.
A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
