A 20-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About noon, he was standing in an alley in the 300 block of North Hamlin when he hard shots and realized he’d been struck in the thigh, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was treated and later released, police said.
