A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood early Sunday on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 5:25 a.m. in the 5000 block of West Monroe, according to Chicago Police. Authorities initially said the shooting happened in the 5100 block of West Madison.

The 25-year-old man was shot in the right side and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
