A man accused of robbing a bank last month on the Far South Side robbed another bank Saturday afternoon in southwest suburban Bridgeview.

A Byline Bank branch at 8601 S. Harlem Ave. was robbed at 12:40 p.m., according to the FBI.

Authorities believe the man who robbed the bank also robbed a U.S. Bank branch Dec. 5 in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

In that robbery, a man walked up to a teller at the bank at 11150 S. Western Ave. at 10:30 a.m. and handed over a note demanding money, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. He ran southbound after the robbery and got into a black four-door car, police said.

The suspect was described as a black man between 35-40, 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-1 with a medium to large build, authorities said.

He did not show a weapon and no injuries were reported in either robbery.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
