A woman who suffers from schizophrenia has been missing from the downtown area for five weeks, police said.

Susan McWilliams, 62, was last seen Dec. 1, 2014, according to a missing person alert issued Tuesday by Chicago Police.

McWilliams frequents the area between the 500 block of North State and the area near the 500 block of South State, going through the River North, Loop and South Loop neighborhoods, police said.

She was described as a white woman standing 5-foot-3 and weighing 100 pounds, police said. She has hazel eyes, black hair and a light complexion.
