A 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen Tuesday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 7:25 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Madison, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police said the shooting was gang-related but did not have additional details.
