A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot Thursday night in a drive-by attack in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At 10:25 p.m., the teen was in the 3100 block of West 41st Place when a white SUV drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the death.
