Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries reported since December on the Northwest Side.

In all of the reported break-ins, someone entered apartments and houses through windows or doors and taken electronics, cash and other items from within, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries occurred:

  • In the 5500 block of West Byron between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 19-20;
  • In the 5400 block of West Grace between midnight and noon Dec. 19-23;
  • In the 5600 block of West Waveland at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 21;
  • In the 3300 block of North Linder at 5 p.m. Dec. 23;
  • In the 6100 block of West Melrose between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 1;
  • In the 5400 block of West School at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 6.
