An 18-year-old woman was shot Friday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

The woman was sitting in a vehicle just before 5 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Exchange when someone walked up and started shooting at the vehicle, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the left shoulder and took herself to South Shore Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

The man was found unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said.
