A 32-year-old man showed up at a suburban hospital about 12 hours after being shot in the left toe early Monday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

He walked into West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park about 2 p.m. and told investigators he had been standing in front of a home in the 900 block of North Lawndale when someone opened fire from a gangway across the street about 2 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

He was listed in good condition.
