The Chicago Sun-Times’ experts offer their predictions for the Bears-Jaguars game in Week 6.

RICK MORRISSEY

Bears, 21-20

My vigorous research into picking a winner between two bad teams took me to many different places — offense, defense, special teams, coaching, etc. In the end, the only thing separating them is the Cubs. Season: 3-2

RICK TELANDER

Bears, 28-23

Are the Bears a 4-12 team? At this rate, yes. But it’s my strong opinion that even bad NFL teams win a few just by showing up. We can root for that fourth 300-yard game by quarterback Brian Hoyer and a made field goal or two. Hoo-ya. Season: 1-4

ADAM L. JAHNS

Bears, 24-21

If the Bears don’t beat the Jaguars, they’re looking at possibly having a 1-7 record at their bye week. That’s horrendous. The Packers and Vikings follow the Jaguars on the schedule. But let’s focus on Sunday. The Jaguars haven’t turned their young talent into wins. Hoyer’s magic finally turns into more points than the opposition scores. Season: 2-3

PATRICK FINLEY

Bears, 27-24

The Bears will face a much better defense, and a much worse quarterback, than they did Sunday in Indianapolis. But the Jaguars have won exactly one road game in their last 18 tries, and fell by 24 to the one-win Chargers in their only other road trip this year. Season: 4-1

MARK POTASH

Bears, 24-20

Beat-up Bears are vulnerable vs. any opponent, but if Hoyer remains error free, their defense is making enough progress to take advantage of a Jaguars offense ranked 26th in yards and 17th in points. Jaguars have lost 17 of their last 18 on the road. Season: 3-2
