Man, 43, shot dead in Gary

A 43-year-old man died Saturday night after a shooting in Gary, Indiana.

Officers responded to the shooting about 9:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Harrison Street and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Gary police.

Samuel Moore was pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m., according to the Lake County coroner’s office. He lived about two miles away in the 700 block of Kentucky Street.

Investigators discovered that Moore’s vehicle was missing and are pursuing “all avenues” in their homicide investigation, police said.
