A man was wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 24-year-old was shot in the ankle at 10:34 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Ridgeway, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the man would not provide investigators with further details about the shooting.

The wreck happened in the northbound lanes near 99th Street, according to an Illinois State Police trooper.
The girl, about 1, was said to be in good condition after being found at 3:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Ohio Street, police said.

The man was found on a sidewalk in the 11300 block of South Edgebrooke Avenue, police said.
